Rev. Jesse Jackson died Feb. 17, 2026 he was 84 years old.

The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners has ordered that flags at all County-owned buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Jackson was a nationally recognized civil rights leader and advocate for social justice whose decades of public service left a lasting impact across the country.

He died Feb. 17, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois. He was 84 years old.

Flags at County-owned facilities will remain at half-staff through the weekend of March 7–8, 2026.
