A free music festival in downtown Cincinnati returns this August with a lineup of both established acts and rising talent from Cincinnati and beyond.

The On Point Music Festival returns to Sawyer Point for two nights of music across several stages Friday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 2. The festival is presented by Cincinnati Parks and curated in part by local independent radio station Inhailer Radio.

On Friday, Americana rock band Ashes & Arrows will headline the main stage, with country artist Noah Smith and indie rock band Sylmar topping the lineup at the Schott Amphitheater stage.

On Saturday, local indie rock group Motherfolk, who just released their new album Eternal Joy, headlines the main stage.

“Known for their emotionally charged songwriting and expansive, genre-blending sound, Motherfolk’s set promises to be a highlight of the weekend,” organizers said in a press release.

Saturday will also feature indie mainstay, synth-laced Multimagic and newcomers Touchdown Jesus, as well as Americana favorites The Tillers and Maria Carrelli, both known for their soulful and roots-forward sound.

“This lineup brings together everything we love about our regional music community,” said Nick Barrows, Inhailer Radio’s local music director. “It’s a joy to help bring these artists to a bigger stage and share that energy with the whole city.”
