A Cincinnati record label has officially opened its Over-the-Rhine flagship studio. Neon City Productions says the new studio will offer a creative space to empower and uplift artists.

Co-owners Ditanyin and Embry Trammell founded Neon City Productions in 2023 and, with the help of business partners Alex Challis and Jacob Keaton, have established the record label as a full-service business committed to supporting artists across multiple disciplines. The new studio aims to be a space that fosters creativity, collaboration and community and serves as a hub of resources and support for emerging artists.

Neon City Productions’ studio is located at 1527-29 Race Street in 3CDC’s Abington Race & Pleasant development, just a short walk from Washington Park.

“We were very intentional about choosing a location close to Washington Park,” Trammell said in a press release. “It’s one of Cincinnati’s most iconic outdoor entertainment spaces, with a steady lineup of live music and cultural events. The Race Street spot is roughly a block away, which felt like the perfect fit. The energy of an urban neighborhood like OTR really aligns with our creative vision, so setting up here was a natural choice.”

The studio features rentable spaces like state-of-the-art recording and photography studios, a dedicated podcasting area and versatile production facilities. Along with private studio sessions, Neon City Productions also offers services like studio vocal engineering, mixing and mastering and professional event production and hosting.

The label currently represents four signed artists and has two Artist & Repertoire (A&R) Representatives on staff. A&R Representatives actively scout emerging musical talent and help guide signed artists in their creative and commercial growth. Neon City Productions has also partnered with the Contemporary Arts Center, produced a variety of community events and have collaborated with notable local artists and producers like G.T.S. Kash, Rod Day and 2Phace Capone.

“3CDC is deeply committed to cultivating not just a thriving business district downtown, but a vibrant entertainment scene as well,” said Christy Samad, executive vice president of Civic & Commercial Space Activations at 3CDC. “Washington Park alone draws millions of visitors annually and hosts more than 400 events each year — many of which feature live music. With so much creative energy just steps away, the Race Street location is an ideal home for Neon City Productions and a natural extension of the neighborhood’s artistic pulse.”

In honor of its grand opening, Neon City Productions is offering special introductory rates of $55 an hour, $130 for a three-hour package and a VIP full-day session, with five hours of studio time and free mastering, for $230. It is also offering complimentary consultations for first-time clients and a discount on future bookings. If you’re interested in booking a session, you can call 326-236-2242 or email booking@neoncityprod.com.
