The “Best Little Fest in the West” is back for a day packed with music, education and sustainability. Sayler Park Sustains’ annual festival returns Saturday, June 14.

The nonprofit’s annual sustainability festival will be held from noon to 10 p.m. in Nelson Sayler Memorial Park. The event is free and family-friendly and will feature workshops on urban agriculture and sustainable living with the goal to educate and empower festival-goers to bring DIY and sustainable practices into their daily lives. Some of the things you can learn about include permaculture gardening, homesteading with goats, bike maintenance and more.

Vendors, raffles, food trucks and locally produced beer and cocktails will be on hand. The music lineup includes:

  • Honey & Houston
  • Hello Sapien
  • Mosant
  • Jake Speed & the Freddies
  • Square Dance with the Rabbit Hash String Band
  • Amador Sisters
  • Ricky Nye
  • The Tillers
  • Debutantes

“We’re excited to bring back the Best Little Fest in the West,” Mike Oberst, festival co-founder, said in a press release. “What better way to spend the day, hanging with your neighbors, meeting new ones, learning attainable ways to become more eco-conscious and self-sufficient, all while rocking out to your favorite bands from near and far.”
