“Oh my god.”

Bob Belcher, main character, burger chef and patriarch of the Belcher family on the Emmy Award-winning show Bob’s Burgers, is perfect roasting material. Fans of the show might be able to think of a lot of things to make fun of Bob for: his struggling restaurant, his body odor (“You smell like a stevedore’s shorts. You smell like failure, like stinky failure farts.”), his weird body, his male pattern baldness yet copious amounts of hair elsewhere, etc. But who better to point all these things out than the characters of the show?

Commonwealth Sanctuary, Northern Kentucky’s only comedy club and dedicated listening room, will host “The Roast of Bob Belcher,” starring comedians as the adult characters on the show. Dan Brady will take on the role of Bob, while Cece Laird plays his wife, Linda.

Other characters taking part in the roast include Bob’s friend Teddy (Cavin Eggleston), neighbor Mort (Nolan Kreeger), sister-in-law Gayle (Lena Beamish), nemesis and overzealous health inspector Hugo (Matthew Zane), Mike the mailman (Phil Pointer) and biker gang member and friend/acquaintance Critter (Jake Doran).

“The Roast of Bob Belcher” is happening Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be bought here.
