Marty Brennaman, legendary former play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds and one of Cincinnati’s biggest broadcasting stars, is putting himself up for a little roasting and toasting for a good cause.

On Saturday, Feb. 24, Music Hall’s ballroom will host the Roast & Toast of Marty Brennaman to benefit Madi’s House, a Cincinnati nonprofit that gives young adults who are struggling with mental health and addiction a place to hang out, receive support and find community while they recover. Guests will get to enjoy a star-studded evening of laughter, music, auctions and a gourmet dinner, all while helping raise funds to build a new fitness and wellness center on the Madi’s House campus.

Brennaman, who is known for his opinionated, zealous and sometimes contentious style, will be roasted by family and several famous friends, including Jeff Ruby, Joe Deters, Simon Leis, Tracy Jones, Dave Lapham, Bob Kevoian of The Bob & Tom Show, Bill Hemmer and more.

“Get ready for some zingers, fastballs, home runs, and occasional fouls from the roasters!” organizers said in a press release.

The night includes bidding on high-value items during a silent auction cocktail hour, followed by a live auction in the ballroom and dinner. After the roast, a DJ will turn up the music for some dancing.

The Roast & Toast of Marty Brennaman runs from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. Tickets are $175 per person and can be purchased here.
