Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is getting in on the action of March Madness with their own Big Dance for fans of its OMNIMAX Theater.
From now until March 9, you can fill out a MAX Madness bracket featuring 16 classic OMNIMAX films that are vying for the title of champion. CMC has both printable and digital versions of the bracket for you to fill out and turn in for the chance to win OMNIMAX tickets.
Here’s how it works: Fill out the bracket at cincymuseum.org/max-madness; digital brackets must be filled out by March 9. The tournament will run four weeks, and starting on Monday, March 3, CMC will open online voting for fans to vote for their favorite OMNIMAX film, with winning films moving onto the next week’s round. Updated brackets will be released on Tuesday each week, with the champion film crowned on March 31.
Each week, four brackets with the highest number of winning films will get two OMNIMAX tickets. And while only one winner will be crowned, the Final Four films will be screened in limited releases in April and May.
First round matchups include:
- Volcanoes: Fires of Creation vs. Hubble
- Dinosaurs of Antarctica vs. Great Bear Rainforest
- Secrets of the Sea vs. Into America’s Wild
- D-Day: Normandy 1944 vs. Ancient Caves
- National Parks Adventure vs. Blue Whales
- Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs vs. Serengeti: Journey to the Heart of Africa
- Superpower Dogs vs. Backyard Wilderness
- Deep Sky vs. Cuba: Journey to the Heart of the Caribbean

“Whether you vote by dome screened memory or by the merits of the film poster, fill out your bracket to send your favorite film to the big dance on the big screen,” CMC said in a press release.
And if you want to visit the OMNIMAX Theater during MAX Madness, it’s currently screening T.REX and The Blue Angels. Space: The New Frontier will open at the theater on March 14.
