The annual Cindependent Film Festival is just months away, and now, organizers are launching a membership program that will reward fans and help power the festival.

CindeFan is a tax-deductible membership that will directly fund the work of independent filmmakers. As a CindeFan, members will receive a welcome gift, discounts on local film events, exclusive content, access to members-only events and more. There are three tiers of membership: $7 a month or $60 a year; $13.50 a month or $150 a year and $45 a month or $500 a year.

Organizers say the membership also offers the opportunity to do more than just watch movies — it builds the community that makes movies and films possible

“Cindependent proves it: People are showing up for each other. CindeFan is our way of celebrating that spirit. A community-powered film experience that uplifts strong voices, sparks conversation and brings us together,” Cindependent founder and executive director Allyson West said in a press release. “By joining, you’re not just supporting independent film — you’re helping build something joyful, meaningful and unapologetically unique.”

Organizers say they’ve also been working on ways to make Cindependent a year-round thing and grow the indie film community in Cincinnati through its CindeSpotlight film series and events like CindeSocial.

The Cindependent Film Festival is happening Sept. 18-20 at Memorial Hall and is currently accepting film and screenplay submissions. Learn more about the festival or sign up for your membership at cindependentfilmfest.org
