The Cincinnati Art Museum is in the running to be named the best art museum in the country as part of a popular readers’ choice poll.

A panel of experts and editors has once again nominated the Cincinnati Art Museum among 20 art museums across the country to be included in USA Today’s 10Best Art Museum Reader’s Choice Award poll. In 2025, the art museum won the No. 3 spot in the category.

Winners will be decided following a four-week online vote, with voting ending at noon on Monday, Feb. 16. You can vote in each category once per day and once per device.

When it comes to what sets the Cincinnati Art Museum apart, 10Best notes its collection, which houses over 73,000 works of art, spanning the ancient world to modern times — all available to view for free. 10Best also praised the renown of the collection, with works from legendary artists like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol.

According to 10Best’s leader boards, the Cincinnati Art Museum is currently ranked third, behind the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and the Toledo Museum of Art. You can vote here.

CAM isn’t the only local museum in the running to be named best in its category. Cincinnati Museum Center’s Cincinnati History Museum and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center are nominated for Best History Museum, and the Museum Center’s Cincinnati Children’s Museum is nominated for Best Children’s Museum. The American Sign Museum in Camp Washington is also nominated for Best Pop Culture Museum. We have more information on how to vote in those categories here.
